Netflix Nation?

If you had any doubt beforehand that Netflix is slowly taking over the world, put those to bed now.

With the announcement that Netflix will be showing the sequel to the highly popular “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” while still in theaters, Hollywood is getting defensive about the streaming site’s role in pop culture.

Movie theaters are worried that viewers will be more inclined to stay at home and watch the movie on Netflix, seeing as a month’s subscription to the site is less than a ticket at the theater.

Netflix argues that certain people will still want to see the movie in theaters to enjoy more of an experience. Either way, Netflix is upping their game especially with the announcement that Adam Sandler signed on to do four movies directly for Netflix.
