Miley Cyrus is recovering and giving updates on her condition

Miley Cyrus is in the hospital, apparently with a bad case of tonsillitis. Still, Miley is well enough to post frequent updates from her hospital bed.

“Trying to heal as quick as I can to make it to Gorillapalooza w @TheEllenShow @PortiaDeRossi @BrunoMars this weekend! Send gooooood vibes my way! Hoping the Rock star G*DS send me a boost of bad ass and help me kick this s— to the curb where it belongs! We got gorillas to save!” Miley wrote in an Instagram story along with pictures of herself in a hospital gown. Gorillapalooza is Ellen DeGeneres’ yearly fundraiser for animal conservation.

Miley also said she was “redesigning” her hospital gown to be more stylish, in a facetious post with her mother, Tish Cyrus. Miley also thanked her mother for helping her fix her hair: “Thank you mama for helpin this little sickyyy look a little bit better by brushin my hair for me @tishcyrus mommy’s are the best!”

2019 has been a rough year for Miley Cyrus. This summer, she split from her husband, Liam Hemsworth, whom she had dated for nearly a decade before marrying him. She also caught criticism for getting romantically involved with Kaitlynn Carter while she was still legally married to Brody Jenner.

Although she’s been sick, Miley’s love life appears to be heating up: she posted pictures of her cuddling in her hospital bed with 22-year-old singer Cody Simpson.
