Swifties Defending Taylor Against Lindsay Lohan
Taylor Swift hopped on Instagram Live recently to announce the release of her new album, “Lover.” But the comments section attracted more attention than the initial video when Lindsay Lohan got involved, posting a series of strange comments on Taylor’s video.
The comments included stream-of-consciousness musings like, “We think you’re great!” “You should respond!” And also, “my mom was in cats.”
The last Tweet was presumably a reference to the musical “Cats.” Swift reportedly has a role in the revival show.
Maybe Lohan is just an enthusiastic fan, and we can’t blame her. Just a month after dropping a new single, “ME!”, Swift released another song, “You Need to Calm Down.” Some followers are convinced the new song is a Gay Pride anthem that takes shots at President Trump.
The lyrics to “You Need to Calm Down” include: “Sunshine on the street at the parade, but you would rather be in the dark ages” and “Shade never made anybody less gay.”
Coincidentally, Swift dropped the new single on President Trump’s birthday. It’s all part of a trend of Swift becoming more politically outspoken, despite keeping mum about her beliefs in the past.
Still, Lindsay Lohan might “need to calm down” in her favorite singer’s comment section. Even reality TV star and notorious fame-seeker Spencer Pratt commented, “Someone please tell Lohan settle down on Tays live like dang gurl.”
