kobebryantKobe Bryant has only played in 6 games this NBA season. Yet, the 35 year old is garnering the second most All Star game votes in the Western Conference. Bryant’s fan base is so large and loyal, that they are voting for him regardless.

But, Kobe is encouraging his fans to stop voting for him. Instead, he recommends that his fans vote for younger players instead.

As of right now, Kobe isn’t healed yet from his most recent knee injury. And, it’s still unclear if he will be healed even by the All Star Game.  So, Bryant was being pretty realistic when he made those statements to his fans.

And even if Doctors approve him for play by the All Star Game, Kobe’s not going to step on a court until he thinks he will be able to meet the high standards he sets for himself.

Still, The All Star Game is all about the fans. And fans can vote for whoever they want.  And plenty of top players for this season like Damian Lillard and Kevin Durant are getting plenty of votes.

Plus, for his fans’ sake, it would be great if Kobe was ready to play before the All Star Game. It would be equally as great, if he somehow managed to make his season return at the All Star Game. If anyone could make it work, it’s Kobe.
