Kate Beckinsale:Behind The Scenes

Kate Beckinsale found herself in hot water with her daughter over one of her recent Instagram posts. “I got into a bit of trouble at home for that,” Beckinsale told TooFabs Brian Particelli Sunday during an interview for the new “Underworld: Blood Wars” film. She said, “I wish you said I got into the college of my choice, because it sounded like you had no hope of me getting into any college anywhere, made me sound like a loser!”

The actress went into proud mama mode last week when she celebrated Lily Mo Sheen’s college acceptance news on social media, but the teenager wasn’t thrilled with how she did it. When asked whether she had her doubts of whether she could pull off wearing the cat suit to play Selene 13 years later, Kate had her doubts. She also talks about how the success of the movie was not a guarantee because it was not based on a book or comic book, and was also a female – led action movie.

Additionally, the movie had a first – time director and it was a first for Kate to play a role such as this, so the success of the movie has been a pleasant surprise. When asked whether there would be a different costume for Selene, Kate says they tried a few different options but it just didn’t feel right, so they went back and gave the old one a mini-makeover. When asked what is next for the Selene story, Kate says the future will tell.
