The third named storm of the year is forming in the Gulf
June 1 marks the first day of the Atlantic hurricane season and a possible tropical depression is currently on watch in the Gulf of Mexico. According to weather reports, there is a high possibility for a tropical depression to form in the Gulf of Mexico through this week.
It’s too early to determine the expected path of the storm but experts predict it could affect Mexico and the U.S. Gulf Coast. The weather of the forming tropical storm has already impacted regions in Central America with major flooding.

This storm is forming in the Atlantic Basin and is to be named Cristobal, presenting serious flood threats in Mexico, Central America. Reports indicate southern Mexico and Central America will experience threats of mudslides and flooding rainfall.
The resulting weather of the forming storm is predicted to cause heavy rainfall in Western Honduras, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, and El Salvador this week. These are preliminary reports and experts will know more in the upcoming days and it’s recommended to be mindful of weather reports regarding your area.
