Facebook Under Fire
Republican Senator John Thune of South Dakota is asking Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to respond to a Gizmodo report that the social networking giant suppresses news about conservatives.
In a news report Thune wrote, “Facebook has enormous influence on users’ perception of current events, including political perspectives.”
Thune is demanding a response by May 24th. Facebook has already responded to Gizmodo’s challenge saying its ‘guidelines do not permit the suppression of political perspectives.
