Derrick Rose can’t catch a break. After playing in only 9 regular season games since his last injury, Derrick Rose is hurt again. This time, the former league MVP has a meniscus tear in his right knee. He is now out indefinitely. Rose suffered the injury on Friday, during the Bulls’ game against the Portland Trailblazers. Rose tried to quickly change directions on the court in the Third Quarter, and ended up stumbling, hurting his knee in the process. He left the game shortly afterwards.

This injury isn’t anywhere near as serious as his ACL tear. But at this point, it is unclear if Rose’s meniscus muscle will have to be fully repaired or not. If it just has to be altered or fixed, then Rose may only have to be out for a few weeks. But, if the muscle has to be repaired completely, then Rose could be out for 4-6 months.

Rose now has two injured knees. Even if he comes back from this injury, he might have knee problems throughout the rest of his career. This is understandably very worrisome, not just for Rose but for the entire Bulls franchise.
