Comedy actor is recovering from car accident

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart was seriously injured in a car accident on Sunday morning. The accident occurred around 1 in the morning, and Hart’s car landed upside-down in a ditch, the roof completely crushed.

Police say Hart, who was a passenger in the car, suffered “major back injuries.” The driver of the other car was not intoxicated.

Other stars sent get-well messages to Hart in the wake of the accident.

“The car can be replaced. But the comedy world could never replace @kevinhart4real!” Arsenio Hall wrote on Instagram.

“Stop messing with my emotions brother @kevinhart4real. We have a lot more laughing to do together,” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson wrote. “Love you man. Stay strong.”

Doctors said Hart should make a complete recovery and confirmed he did not suffer spinal cord injuries. As of Monday, he was able to walk and move his extremities, the Daily Beast reported. However, he and the driver of the car will probably require multiple surgeries.

“The other two passengers in the car appear to have also had lucky escapes, despite being trapped in the vehicle for some time: Hart’s friend Jared Black (who was driving) and personal trainer Rebecca Broxterman are both expected to make full recoveries,” The Daily Beast reported.
