Beyonce took a break from performing and Jessica Alba took time with her family for Labor Day. Ever busy moms, these two lovely celebrities honored September 1st by hitting the beaches with their loved ones in tow – Beyonce jetted off to Ibiza while Jessica spent her break in Malibu.

Before heading off to the World’s Party Capital, Beyonce did a performance for an event her own husband, Jay Z, curated – Budweiser Made in America. Her act, which fell on the first day of the festival, was an energetic 90-minute set that featured more than a dozen of her signature hit songs like Crazy in Love, Single Ladies, and Halo.

True to the sexy aura she always seems to exude, Beyonce was foxily clad in a lacy corset during her performance. After her stint, she had a brief talk with her younger sister, Solange, who also performed that night in the same event, and they were even pictured sharing a warm embrace before she embarked on the lengthy flight straight to Spain with daughter Blue Ivy.

After all the performing and travelling she did, however, the 31-year-old recording artist and actress did not look tired and haggard when she was pictured climbing on her luxury yacht in Ibiza Monday with her daughter. She looked fresh-faced and smiling in short daisy dukes, tribal t-shirt and oversized sunglasses – plus she did manage to tackle the plank in her definitely-not-beach-wear high heels. The sexy singer continued to be vacation happy the next day, snapping pictures of the scenery and the people around her, as both she and husband Jay Z left their yacht. Reportedly, after her short break in Ibiza, Beyonce will announce the release of her fifth album in US.

Jessica on Business Break

Ah…one of the perks of owning your own business is you get to have a vacation anytime, no questions asked. And that is just what actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba did – she took a break from handling her business, The Honest Company, to enjoy some time in the sun with her husband Cash Warren and two daughters last September 1st in time for the Labor Day break.

Sunday saw the sexy 32-year-old actress in a blue two-piece swim wear with daughters Honor and Haven romping on Malibu shores, and it was clear the three were having a grand time playing around. But it seems the Sin City and Machete Kills star did not get enough sun as the next day saw her with husband Cash and daughter Honor, in Bristol Farms market in Los Angeles, California in what looked like food shopping before heading to the beach…again.

Jessica and 5-year-old Honor sported swimsuits under their dresses, hers a white tank top paired with a blue-patterned maxi skirt while her daughter had a pink frock on as they sauntered through the market sipping iced drinks. Cash was also seen carrying a packed tote. Beyonce and Jessica were not the only stars who took advantage of the long weekend and headed to the beach for a much-needed unwind.
