Ariana Grande Steals The Show At Coachella
Ariana Grande became the youngest-ever artist to headline the Coachella music festival on Sunday night. Grande, who is 25 years old, had several surprise guests perform during her set, including *NSYNC, Nicki Minaj, and Mase and P. Diddy.
During her performance with the beloved boy band *NSYNC, Grande filled in for Justin Timberlake, who did not appear at Coachella. “I’ve been rehearsing my whole f—ing life for this moment,” Grande said as *NSYNC took the stage. *NSYNC members JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Lance Bass and Joey Fatone sang a rendition of “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored” alongside Grande.

Mase and P. Diddy then joined Grande onstage to perform an updated version of their 1997 hit song, “Mo Money, Mo Problems.” Mase, Diddy and Grande paid tribute to slain rapper Notorious B.I.G., who appeared on the original song.
Alongside Grande, Nicki Minaj performed the rap portion from “Bang Bang.” However, Minaj and Grande’s duet hit technical difficulties, with Minaj’s sound going out mid-performance. Minaj lost audio in both ears while singing “Bang Bang” and “Side to Side.”
The Coachella Music and Arts Festival takes place every year in the Southern California desert, where strong winds and other weather issues can create technical challenges for performers. In the past, the audio at Coachella has become so bad that musical acts, including Radiohead, have had to exit the stage mid-song until the problem was resolved. It created an awkward scene during Minaj and Grande’s set, but the show went on nonetheless.
