The Search Continues
If it seems like we’ve been talking about where Amazon’s 2nd headquarters will be for far too long, it’s because we have been. First, we heard of potential cities bidding for the powerhouse online retailer’s 2nd HQ, then we heard of why some cities were against having it, then we heard rumors of potential cities Amazon was considering….and now, we are here. We’ve finally made it to the real, concrete, 20 city list of potential locations. This is starting to feel like a new version of “the Bachelor,” is it not? At least now we can put some rumors to rest, but it’s still a long road ahead.
Amazon has the right to be choosy, as their success continues to baffle the retail world, and makes many people question whether or not things like malls will exist in the coming years. CEO of the company, Jeff Bezos, was recently named one of the wealthiest billionaires in the U.S., surpassing Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, which is quite the couple of names to pass on a list that involves income. With all the company’s success, we are all as eager as ever to figure out where this illustrious second location will be. Here’s the top 20 list of potential cities Amazon’s second HQ will land:
Atlanta
Austin, Tex.
Boston
Chicago
Columbus, Ohio
Dallas
Denver
Indianapolis
Los Angeles
Miami
Montgomery County, Md.
Nashville
Newark
New York
Northern Virginia
Philadelphia
Pittsburgh
