Imran Khan Accuses Pakistan’s Army: Political Turmoil and Allegations of Interference
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, has made bold accusations against the country’s army and its intelligence agency, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), claiming that they are actively working to dismantle his political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Khan expressed his belief that he would be subjected to a military trial and imprisoned, leaving no room for doubt regarding the involvement of the establishment in these actions.
In a candid interview with Reuters, Khan openly criticized the military establishment, which he referred to as the “establishment.” He emphasized that their interference was no longer covert but rather evident for all to see. This political turmoil has escalated the already uncertain situation in Pakistan, a nuclear-armed nation grappling with financial distress. With the economy struggling, the country is at risk of default, facing rampant inflation, and witnessing a sharp decline in its currency.
Just last month, violent protests erupted following Khan’s brief arrest, which he referred to as a “false flag operation” designed to target him. Khan, currently out on bail, firmly believes that the military aims to prevent his return to power in the upcoming elections scheduled for November. He dismissed the numerous criminal cases filed against him as frivolous, asserting that any civilian court would dismiss them. However, he expressed concerns that the military courts were specifically tailored to imprison him.
“Establishment is one man, the Army Chief”- Imran Khan accuses the current Army Chief of Pakistan to conspire against him on international mega.

Khan openly accused the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Pakistan’s influential spy agency, of playing a significant role in the crackdown against him. He revealed that two senior members of his party were summoned by the agency and pressured to renounce their affiliation with PTI. Khan found himself perplexed by the relentless campaign waged against him.
The former prime minister believes that the top generals of Pakistan orchestrated his removal from office through a parliamentary vote last year. With these serious allegations against the military establishment and ISI, Imran Khan’s political future hangs in the balance as he fights against the odds to regain power and address the challenges faced by the nation.
