Voice lines from Beetlejuice and the Wicked Witch have been found in the game’s files.
Through a combination of character star power and surprisingly decent gameplay, Warner Bros. free-to-play crossover fighting game Multiversus has been amassing a positive reputation for itself since it launched into open beta last month. This past week, the developers announced the game’s first official season of new content, with new character additions including DC supervillain Black Adam and Gremlins antagonist Stripe. According to some new leaks that have been circulating, Warner is planning on dipping even further into its back catalog for characters.

This week, Twitter user AisulMV posted two tweets featuring datamined voice lines for two unannounced Multiversus characters: star of the classic Tim Burton horror-comedy film Bettlejuice, and one of the most legendary villains of all time, The Wizard of Oz’s Wicked Witch of the West. While only voice data was obtained, both characters can be heard acknowledging one another, implying that they will both be playable rather than relegated to announcer status.

AisulMV’s post containing the Beetlejuice lines was disabled by a copyright claim, though of course, such a claim often acts as an indirect confirmation. The Wicked Witch lines are still available on AisulMV’s Twitter to sample. At the time of writing, Warner Bros. Games has not commented on the leak.
