A Successful Business In The Making
For those of you who don’t know, Fabiola Molina is one of the greatest all-time female swimmers! Basically, she is a butterfly and backstroke guru from Brazil! She has competed all over the world and even for many titles in the 2000, 2008, and 2012 Olympics. With much success in the water, Fabiola Molina decided to take her talents back to Brazil so she can start a new project and shake up the business world.
She got the idea in 2004 when she was swimming. Many swimmers from all over would constantly compliment her suits and ask where they could find them. So her idea was to be able to provide them an online service where international swimmers would buy these suits no matter where they were in the world. With that being said, she began to work on a store that in the beginning focused on swimsuits and beachwear. In 2005, the store officially launched and by 2007 she already was partnered with FedEx Express to ensure her shipments were handled with care.
Because the speed and safety of the delivery were so on point, she began to see sales skyrocket! She loves being able to watch her company grow and she loves seeing customers who are completely satisfied….it keeps her motivated and passionate about what she does. She is taking what she has learned from swimming at a professional level and has applied it to business. She knows how valuable time is and how discipline is key in both swimming and in running a business.
