Global superstars BTS are officially back—and they’re bringing their hearts with them. The iconic seven-member group has announced their fifth studio album, ARIRANG, set for worldwide release on March 20, 2026. This marks BTS’s first full-group album since completing mandatory military service, making the comeback one of the most anticipated moments in music today.

Revealed at midnight on January 16 via the global fan platform Weverse, ARIRANG features 14 brand-new tracks that reflect BTS at their most personal and authentic. Inspired by “Arirang,” Korea’s beloved folk song, the album centers on themes of identity, longing, and deep love—emotions that feel both intimate and universal. By choosing this title, BTS honors their roots while sharing the stories and feelings that have shaped them during their time apart.

Fans were quick to celebrate as pre-orders opened the same day, with special editions such as Rooted in Korea and a range of colorful vinyl versions. Added perks include a lottery for soundcheck access at the opening show of the upcoming tour in Goyang, South Korea. Teaser images showing RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook in ethereal, dreamlike styling have already sent excitement soaring across social media, with ARMYs around the world pre-saving tracks and sharing their anticipation online.

True to their legacy, BTS were deeply involved in the creative process, collaborating closely throughout the second half of 2025. Drawing from their personal experiences and reflections, the group crafted music that feels “most true to BTS,” continuing their tradition of honest storytelling that resonates across cultures and generations.

The album announcement also sets the stage for an unprecedented world tour. Beginning April 9 at Goyang Sports Complex, BTS will embark on a massive run of 79 shows across 34 cities—making it the largest tour in K-pop history. The tour will span North America, Europe, Oceania, Asia, and South America, with additional dates planned for Japan and the Middle East. Fans can also expect a groundbreaking 360-degree stage design, promising a fully immersive concert experience.

With ARIRANG, BTS return not just as global icons, but as artists reconnecting with their beginnings and their fans. As March 20 approaches, one thing is clear: BTS are ready to share the next chapter of their story—and ARMY is more than ready to listen.
