Jared Leto’s ‘Beyond The Horizon’ S1:E4
When you think about art you usually think about creation, observation, and depicting what you see in front of you. And when you meet Jeff Koons an American artist known for his reproductions of banal objects such as balloon animals produced in stainless steel with mirror-finished surfaces you going to have a whole new outlook on how you look at and view art now and in the future.
Creating art that lets users know they don’t have to bring anything to the table but themselves right at that moment gives Jeff motivation to create more art. When you look at Jeff’s art he hopes that it excites you, stimulates you, and brings a creative flow that makes you look at his art and spark inspiration to create something and carry it out into society. Connecting with people is the way to the future and art is going to play a key role in all of this.
Creation and technology goes hand in hand and when it comes to the next 100 years, technology will still be a tool for art. However for the younger generations, there is starting to be shift in the way kids create art. Due to the fact that they are constantly on phones and ipads it limits them to using their hands for other things like creating and that may be something that physically changes in humans in the future.
A wise man named Robert Schumann once said, “To send light into darkness of men’s hearts such is the duty of the artist.” When you’re making a work of art you’re being honest. If you’re focusing on what you’re doing and you really pay attention to that, it will connect you to the universal and other people.
