2016 VMA’S

This has been the first year ever that MTV’s VMA ratings were down and their social media engagement was up. Although their social media presence was strong, they are still hoping to raise the bar on their tv ratings.

So, how does MTV plan on raising their ratings? Well, it’s simple; they ask Kanye to host the next award show. Because after Kanye West opted out of performing the night before, and almost not showing up to the VMA’s at all, he still went up on stage during his time slot and talked for a full 15 minutes.

Kanye West received the VMA’s highest honor at this year’s ceremony but MTV are bestowing even more glory onto the rapper as it’s announced they want him to host the 2016 VMA’s. TV bosses were apparently impressed with his captivating performance when he collected his award.
