Joy’s Gorgeous Taylor Swift Cover
Have our ears died and gone to musical heaven? Based on this beautiful and haunting cover song, I would believe so. Rising artist Vance Joy has recently blessed music lovers – and more importantly Taylor Swift lovers – with this incredible rendition of ‘I Know Places’ from the album ‘1989’.
Vance Joy has made his mark on the music scene with his catchy and lovable summer song ‘Riptide’ that’s been playing in all of our heads for a solid year now. So with his own collection of folky swoon worthy songs, why is Vance Joy taking on the sound of Taylor Swift?
Well besides giving us an excuse to get lost in his sultry smooth voice for a few minutes, maybe because it was just recently announced that the 27 year old artist will be opening up for the mega star on her ‘1989’ North American tour dates!
There is no doubt that if you haven’t heard of Vance Joy by now – after touring with TSwift herself, he will certainly become even more of a household name than he already is. This has already been a huge year for Vance Joy with the September debut of his album ‘Dream Your Life Away’ and a gig playing on stage at Coachella – it seems as if he shows no signs of slowing down.
So do you think we can expect a duet from Vance Joy and Taylor Swift on the ‘1989’ tour? We sure hope so! Taylor Swift has already proved how much she loves Joy’s music with a cover of ‘Riptide’ last year for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. You can find that cover on YouTube but in the meantime enjoy another listen of Vance Joy covering ‘I Know Places’ – c’mon, you deserve it. Musical bliss!
