Gun Violence is a Major Threat in the USA!

A shooting occurred at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office in northwest Dallas at approximately 6:40 a.m. CT. The incident resulted in one detainee killed, two detainees injured, and the suspect deceased.

The attack took place at the ICE facility on the 8100 block of North Stemmons Freeway, near Love Field Airport. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, fired from a nearby building at individuals present for routine check-ins. Dallas Police responded promptly, finding four individuals shot: one detainee died at the scene, two others were transported to Parkland Hospital, and the suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No law enforcement or ICE personnel were harmed.

Evidence, including bullet casings with “anti-ICE” engravings, indicates the attack was targeted and motivated by opposition to ICE operations. The FBI, led by Special Agent Joe Rothrock, is investigating the incident as an act of targeted violence, with no ongoing threat reported.

Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons stated, “The agency is cooperating fully with the FBI and local authorities to understand the circumstances of this attack.” Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux and Mayor Eric Johnson have called for a thorough investigation. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and Senator Ted Cruz described the incident as part of a pattern of violence against ICE facilities, marking it the third such attack in Texas this year.
