Get Ready For A Weekend Of Action-Packed Sports
With a victory in Friday night’s Game 6 over the Milwaukee Brewers, the Los Angeles Dodgers will advance to the World Series to meet the Boston Red Sox. Game 6 is at Milwaukee at 8:39 p.m. ET on FS1.
Should a Game 7 be necessary, it will be Saturday night at 9:09 p.m., again on FS1.
The Red Sox won their way in by beating the Houston Astros 4-1 on Thursday night to take the American League Championship Series in five games.
And now for something completely different …
We’ll give you a triple-header of games between ranked teams to make your Saturday one in which your heiner and your recliner should not part company.
No. 6 Michigan (5-1) takes on intrastate rival Michigan State (4-2) and ranked 24th, at noon on Fox. MSU coach Mark D’Antonio owns an 8-3 record against the Wolverines. No. 22 Mississippi State (4-2) takes the challenge of No. 5 LSU (5-1) at 7 p.m. on ESPN. LSU comes off the big win over former No. 2 Georgia. And a key Pac-12 matchup pits No. 22 Oregon (5-1) at No. 25 Washington State (5-1) at 7:30 p.m. on Fox.
Your best NFL bets (check local listings for your home team) on Sunday are the resurgent Baltimore Ravens (4-2) taking on the New Orleans Saints (4-2) in a classic battle of defense vs. offense. That’s on Fox at 4:05 p.m. The Ravens come off an 11-sack win over the Tennessee Titans; the Saints and record-setting quarterback Drew Brees return from their bye. The Sunday evening tilt at 8:20 p.m. on NBC matches the erratic Cincinnati Bengals (4-2) and the high-scoring Kansas City Chiefs (5-1), who come off their first defeat of the season.
NASCAR trims its playoff field for the round of eight on Sunday at the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. on NBC. Still outside looking in are Brad Keselowski, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson and Alex Bowman. Four races remain after this one in the Monster Energy Cup series.
Nice menu. Mix and match. Have a party. Watch responsibly.
