Get Ready For A Weekend Of Action-Packed Sports
We always like matchups of ranked college football teams, especially when they are in the same conference.
Sometimes the games have postseason ramifications and sometimes they don’t, but they are conference games and rivalries.
So tune in to Fox on Saturday at noon ET for No. 10 Ohio State (8-1) at No. 18 Michigan State (6-3) in a Big Ten battle. OSU still harbors dreams of shinnying up to a higher spot in the College Football Playoff rankings, but has struggled on offense. MSU’s rugged defense doesn’t let opponents run, and that’s a key to stopping the Buckeyes.
There’s a pair of games in the SEC matching ranked teams. No. 1 Alabama (9-0) is at home against No. 16 Mississippi State (6-3) at 3:30 p.m. on CBS, followed at 7 p.m. by No. 5 Georgia (8-1) hosting No. 24 Auburn (6-3), with ESPN your conduit to audio-visual pleasure. Watch both games, because Alabama and Georgia are already set to meet in the SEC Championship Game and there might be a quiz about that matchup on Monday.
One more of the ranked vs. ranked for ya. No. 2 Clemson (9-0) visits No. 17 Boston College (7-2) in an ACC contest. ABC will show this at 8 p.m.
Check your local listings for your team on Sunday before settling your heiner in the recliner. There’s not much else to advertise. The best of a bad lot in Week 10 sends the New Orleans Saints (7-1, winners of seven straight) to Cincinnati (5-3), where the high-scoring Bengals are coming off a bye. Sunday, 1 p.m., Fox.
NASCAR’s playoffs took an odd turn earlier this week when Kevin Harvick was stripped of his place in the final four due to an inspection failure of the car in which he won at Texas Motor Speedway. So the race at Phoenix will be key to re-qualifying for Harvick, who won at Phoenix earlier this year. NBC shows the Can-Am 500 on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
There’s the menu. Pick a meat and two sides.
