Tom Brady laughs over Ohio State-Michigan
The Ohio State Buckeyes beat their number-one rival, the University of Michigan Wolverines, for the eighth straight year on Saturday. Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady, a graduate of Michigan, says he’s still trying to wrap his head around the almost decade-long string of losses.
“I have no idea. It’s been tough,” Brady said. “I have a few bets I have to settle too, so it makes it even tougher.”
But later on, Brady appeared to troll his alma mater on LeBron James’ Instagram account.
“Next year is our year,” Brady wrote. But he followed up the comment with the hashtag “#ivesaidthatbefore.”
Brady also said he was a bit embarrassed that he had predicted last week that Michigan would “kick [Ohio State’s] butt.”
Brady told the Greg Hill Show that he has ongoing bets in place with his teammates who went to Ohio State, including Nate Ebner and John Simon. He says his pride is hurt, and “will likely be in a few pictures, hopefully with my face covered.”
Brady also had a losing weekend on the field. On Sunday, the Patriots lost in a surprise upset to the Texans. During Sunday Night Football, Houston eked out a 28 to 22 victory over New England.
