The 86th Academy Awards served as the backdrop for major career wins and stunning fashion moments on Sunday night.
The celebrities threw caution to the wind and stepped out onto the red carpet despite the horrid rain and torrential downpours that have plagued California in the recent days.
Bedecked in gowns, tuxedos and even shorts (Pharrell Williams), the world’s top actors and actresses strode down the red carpet at the Oscars.
Just as you would expect, the best of the best in terms of film talents were there. Sandra Bullock, Brad and Angelina, Jennifer Lawrence and many many more celebrated cinemas big night.
Ellen DeGeneres hosted the Oscars and lended her hilarious humor to the evening. Poking fun at guests and nominees alike while keeping the crowds entertained.

“Wow” Moments
While best picture of the evening may have gone to 12 Years a Slave , we think Ellen should have been the runner-up for this little beauty below, which she snapped mid-show and it ultimately became one of the most tweeted images EVER!
Pharrell Williams dazzled the audience with his hit nominated song “Happy”. Many of the gown clad ladies including the lovely Lupita Nyong’o and beautiful Amy Adams couldn’t help but get up and dance along with him.
Lupita Nyong’o, Jared Leto and Matthew McConaughey gave the best speeches of the evening, all heartfelt and emotional perfect for receiving such a big win. Best of all, nobody got played off mid speech…score!
Ellen DeGeneres at one point deemed the audience a little hungry so she took the liberty of passing out pizza to the couture clad stars.
This year’s Academy Awards was a fun filled celebration of the most talented technical and artistic achievements in film. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees, we can’t wait to see who takes the golden guy next year!
