Why The “Frugal Jewish” Stereotype?

A Jewish girl walks up to her father and says “hey Dad, can I borrow 50 bucks?” The father then replies, “40 bucks? Why do you need to borrow 30 bucks?” *insert laughter here* We know the stereotype, Jewish people are cheap!

Comedian Mike Epps once again heads out to discover the meaning behind the stereotypes in episode two of his show ‘That’s Racist’.

So why are Jewish people cheap? Well for one, Jewish people have been handling money for years upon years. Going back all the way to Biblical times, Jewish people were some of the first bankers ever! So after dealing with money for so long, I think you would pick up so handy habits on how to save it.

Besides, I don’t think being cheap is the worst stereotype out there. Look at who is running Hollywood – the Jews. And why?

Because they know how to manage a good business unlike most celebrities who spend their first paycheck on an exotic yacht with its own personal helicopter pad. Way to go Jews, saving the world some money day by day.
