Swift & Smith Head Billboard Music Awards Finalists

You thought award season was over, didn’t you? Not so fast! We still have the Billboard Music Awards, people! It should come as no surprise that the front runner this year is none other than the phenomenon known as Taylor Swift.

Swift has been flying high ever since the release of ‘1989’ and has earned plenty of nominations from Billboard including Top Artist and Top Album. Also leading the pack is TSwift’s British buddy, Sam Smith. Smith has really risen to the top this year and earned his nominations which include Top Artist and Top New Artist.

Other nominees in the Top Artist include One Direction, Ariana Grande, and Katy Perry fresh off her Super Bowl halftime domination. ‘All About That Bass’ singer Meghan Trainor picked up some nominations including Top New Artist and the legend herself, Beyonce, earned her nomination for Top R&B Artist.
