Finally The Critics Come Crawling
The city of Cleveland will host a parade for the Cavaliers on Wednesday, honoring its first major champion since 1964.
This is an emotional time for Cleveland, which spent far too long as a national punchline (the Mistake By The Lake) and continues to be haunted by the ineptness of its football team.

As the city continues to bask in basketball glory, LeBron James is also speaking out. Silent on social media during the run-up to the playoffs, the MVP of the NBA Finals nonetheless heard the chatter. Especially when the Cavs trailed the Golden State Warriors 3-1 in the best-of-seven Finals series, which set up a comeback unprecedented in the NBA history.
On Monday, LeBron returned to electronic communications with the following post on Instagram. While he may not have been issuing statements for a while, he was aware of what was being said. Here’s LeBron on Instagram:
“They said u lost a step, wasn’t explosive as once was, the best days was in the real view, questioned your drive, your leadership, your commitment, you don’t have killer instinct, going back home is the worst mistake in your career, he got the coach fired, players traded, won’t work between him and Kyrie, Him and Kev won’t work, love your teammates to much, there’s no way he can deliver a championship in his hometown, etc etc etc…. But guess what THATS NONE OF MY BUSINESS #StriveForGreatness #ThisOneIsForTheLand #PutSomeRespeckOnMyName Hahahaha!!! Yes sir”

Hey, it’s the winners who write history. And they love a parade.
