Breaking news has emerged stating that Microsoft is heading into the social media ring when it announced earlier today that it will purchase the career networking site, LinkedIn, the largest of it’s kind.
The CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, made the announcement over his twitter account, which drove up the stock of LinkedIn up over 48%. Nadella stated that LinkedIn fits right in with Microsoft’s goal to be the industry leader in mobile and cloud based productivity.
