The game has been moved out of New York due to an encroaching snowstorm.
This weekend, the Buffalo Bills are scheduled to take on the Cleveland Browns. This game was supposed to be held on the Bills’ home turf of Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, New York, but as a powerful snowstorm bears down on the northeast, a change has been ordered in the interest of staff, player, and spectator safety. Instead of Buffalo, the game has been moved to the Browns’ home field in Detroit.
Due to public safety concerns and out of an abundance of caution in light of the ongoing weather emergency in western New York, Sunday's game against the Browns will be moved to Ford Field in Detroit.

The decision to move the game was made “in consultation with the Buffalo Bills and local and state authorities as the region prepares for the storm,” Bills management said in a statement.
“The decision to move the game to Detroit has everything to do about safety,” Bills executive vice president and chief operating officer Ron Raccuia said. “Safety first has been what we’ve been talking about here, really for the last 48 to 72 hours.”
Team practice for today has been cancelled, and the Bills will be traveling to Detroit on Saturday to, ideally, maintain the game’s original timeslot.

“[Coach] Sean [McDermott] does a great job of messaging and making sure our guys understand it’s still going to be a football game,” said Bills general manager Brandon Beane. “Everything else is the same. It’s a short flight. We’re going to try to keep it as routine as possible. Is it a little disruption? Yes. But I think our guys are pros. They understand it.”
