Justin Bieber Inexplicably Challenges Tom Cruise to a Fight Via Twitter

Oh, Biebs! Justin Bieber’s latest antics include challenging Tom Cruise to an MMA-style fight in “an octagon.” No one is really sure why.

“I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you don’t take this fight your scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite?” the singer tweeted Sunday night.

Sounds like a bizarre joke. But the tweet went viral, and some people seem to be taking Bieber’s challenge seriously. UFC fighter Conor McGregor said his company would host the fight if Cruise accepted.

“If Tom Cruise is man enough to accept this challenge, McGregor Sports and Entertainment will host the bout,” the UFC star tweeted. “Does Cruise have the sprouts to fight, like he does in the movies? Stay tuned to find out!”

McGregor took things a step further, issuing his own challenge to the actor Mark Wahlberg. “I challenge Mark Wahlberg on the very same card,” McGregor tweeted. “Back when Mark Wahlberg was Marky Mark, I’d still slapped the ears off him and took my ufc shares back.”

There was no response from Cruise or his camp. It’s unlikely to ever happen, but a Bieber vs. Cruise matchup would make for great entertainment and more than a few laughs.
