Julia Louis-Dreyfus Takes It In Stride!

We live in a wonderful world where spell check prevents us from making embarrassing spelling mistakes. With a tool like that, nothing could go wrong – right? Apparently it can! ‘Veep’ star and ‘Seinfeld’ alum Julia Louis-Dreyfus recently stopped by the ‘Tonight Show’ and revealed to Jimmy Fallon that the people at the Hollywood Walk of Fame made a huge mistake when it came to spelling her name.

On the show she remembers getting a phone call before the ceremony saying that her last name was spelled wrong on the star. How embarrassing!

Not to worry though, the mistake was quickly corrected as best as possible and Julia was a good sport about the whole thing. She is not the only star to have their name spelled wrong for a public event. Anne Hathaway knows the struggle well when her first name was spelled wrong at an award ceremony.

Rule of thumb – when giving someone an award you should double check and make sure you know how to spell their name. The joke ended up being on them though when she graciously accepted the award but said it was bittersweet because of the spelling error. Spell check people – use it!
