Eddie Redmayne Offered Lead Role in Harry Potter Spinoff

Is the actor who plays Harry Potter getting replaced?

Well, sort of. Sources tell Variety Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne has been offered the lead role in the Harry Potter spinoff, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” The film will be based on the 2001 book by J.K Rolling, which reads as a fictional textbook of magical creatures found in the Harry Potter universe.

Rolling herself is writing the script inspired by the book featuring Scamander the role offered the Redmayne as the main character.

Redmayne says he has heard that he will be the lead role for a long time but was waiting for a finished script before committing. What do you think? Is Harry Potter ready for a new famous face?
