Dwayne Johnson is proud of Kevin Hart’s recovery after car accident
At the Hollywood premiere of Jumanji: The Next Level, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said he was “so proud” of his friend and co-star, Kevin Hart, who is still recovering from a serious car accident over Labor Day weekend. Hart and his companions sustained serious injuries during the crash, although no one was killed.
Hart will also add his hand and footprint to the famous TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, a major honor for the comedy veteran. Johnson already added his hand and footprint to the theater in 2015.
“I’m so happy and so proud of him. I have the privilege of speaking on his behalf tomorrow and I can’t wait,” The Rock said. “I did have the honor of having it done and, not to mess with him, but I know how cool it is and I’m so happy that he’s experiencing it. This is a great Christmas. It’s a great holiday… I’m so happy to celebrate my guy.”
The pair is also excited for the release of their latest Jumanji film. Johnson said the cast “brought our A-game” to the movie. Hart agreed, calling the experience “unbelievable.”
“At the end of the day, you’re promoting something that you’re proud of, that you’re happy about, and we both understand how fortunate we are to be in this particular franchise. To be able to discuss it. It’s been one for the record books,” Hart said of Jumanji: The Next Level.
