Blue Moon Of Josephine

An exceptionally large blue diamond was sold at an auction for a record breaking $48.5 million, yes we just said million, dollars.

The diamond was purchased by Hong Kong tycoon Joseph Lau, who according his office renamed the 12.03 carrot gem ‘Blue Moon of Josephine’ after his daughter. The price was set as a record for any jewel ever sold at an auction.

Lau also purchased a pink diamond ring that sold for $28.5 million dollars a day earlier. For more details be sure to check out the video above.
