Uh-Oh! Carnitas Shortage!

Not to get all overzealous, but there’s some really bad news on the food front today. Are you ready for it because a lot of people were not!

According to, well, eaters all over America, Chipotle is in the middle of a near-crisis level carnitas shortage.

Restaurants across the country—nearly one-third of Chipotle locations—are completely out of the delicious filling, with no end to the pork drought in sight.

After discovering that a supplier violated several animal treatment standards, Chipotle decided to suspend the sale of pork at roughly a third of the popular Mexican chain’s 1,700 locations.

So what is one to do? Well, they aren’t giving up on Chipotle just yet!
