Tech Alert
Meet ‘Innovation’ the largest ship of its kind and strangely enough this ship does not touch the water. How cool is that!
It’s basically a jack-up vessel, which means it can lift itself up from the water to make sure there is a stable working platform. This ship is mainly used for building offshore windturbine farms. And to work on these big projects, the ship itself must be big. This is the largest jack-up vessel in the world. It is pretty unique to have expecially in Antwerp.
The hsip itself is 150 metres long and 40 metres wide. 100 people live on board and for those 100 people there is access to a gym, karaoke, and a cinema on board. For more exclusive details be sure to check out the video above.
