BET Awards

The 2016 BET Awards have recently been handed out, and Beyonce and Drake were this year’s big winners and we couldn’t be more excited about it. Drake led the pack going in to the ceremony with 9 nominations, while Beyonce and Rihanna followed with 6 each!

Queen B also kicked the night off with a live performance, alongside Kendrick Lamar. The former ‘Destiny’s Child’ singer then went on to claim the trophies for Video of the Year, Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, the Viewer’s Choice Award, and the Centric Award for her song ‘Formation’.

Drake took home Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Best Group for his team-up with Future, and Best Collaboration thanks to his and Rihanna’s track ‘Work’. Other winners include ‘Creed’s Michael B. Jordan, who was named Best Actor, Nicki Minaj, who snagged the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist honor, and ‘Straight Outta Compton’ which won Best Movie.
