Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party Wins Israeli Election
On Tuesday Israelis took their stand as they headed straight for the polls. By all accounts Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Likud party were heading for a fall in Israel’s elections.
However, on Wednesday, the picture was a complete turnaround as he scooped a fourth term in office and many people were in shock.
A four-day pre-election blitz with a clear hard shift to the right appears to have helped shore up his own party support and win over right-wing and nationalist parties.
