It’s safe to say almost everyone loves to travel and whenever we can catch a break you can most likely find us traveling the world. And when it comes to traveling, we try to make our trip as seemless as possible, especially if we are going somewhere we have never been before.
With that being said, there are so many things to prepare before the big trip that you don’t want to forget one of our most important items on the list….a place to stay. Now when it comes to places to stay most people choose a traditional hotel with awesome ratings, but what has been increasingly popular is apartment rentals and places to just crash such as Airbnb. But when you make these arrangements the first thing you want to try and avoid is a rental nightmare.
So to start, the number one thing you need to be aware of as a renter is scams and the best way to prevent them is to use payment methods that are on the site you are using to book your place only….never pay by cash or money order. Next, do your homework. Be sure to speak with he host and past guests and use Google’s Street View to get an accurate sense of the neighborhood.
