The Broncos QB was removed from the game after a nasty fall.
During the third quarter of Sunday’s game between the Denver Broncos and the Cincinnati Bengals, Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater dove for the ball and landed hard on his face, remaining motionless for several moments afterward. Out of concern, the game was stopped, and medical staff carted him off the field. Afterwards, he was transported to a Denver hospital for observation, where he was kept overnight for observation.

According to Broncos coach Vic Fangio, Bridgewater was fully capable of moving his limbs and extremities, and is expected to make a full recovery. “Everything has checked out good up to this point,” Fangio told reporters. “They think he should be and will be fine.” When asked if Bridgewater had sustained a concussion, Fangio said that he hadn’t “heard it labeled that, but I’m sure it probably is.”
QB Teddy Bridgewater will stay at the hospital overnight for further evaluation, but so far everything has checked out well, per Coach Fangio.

“We you see a guy like Teddy go down, that hurts, man,” Broncos safety Justin Simmons said after the game. “We know what Teddy puts into it, he’s such a big voice in our locker room, it hurts, obviously, from a football standpoint, it hurts as a leader, but just as a friend, a guy that invests into you so much, it hurts to see.”
