It shouldn’t be especially surprising that Oprah Winfry has a lot of friends. Like a lot. Honestly, who wouldn’t want to be friends with Oprah?! And now she is adding a new bff to her list…Reese Witherspoon!

Oprah and Reese were casual friends for a long time. You work in the entertainment industry, you’re obviously going to run into a few familiar faces on a regular basis. It wasn’t until they began work together on Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time that a true, close relationship began to bud.

Oprah said that the two of them had a “great camaraderie from the very first day” when they were working on A Wrinkle in Time together.

Reese said that Oprah “just really deeply cares about humanity as a whole.”

Even after production on the film ended, the two kept in close contact, and have been spotted around the country palling around and hugging it out.
