A True Miracle

If you have ever tried to have a baby you may know exactly how hard can be. With that being said, we have an inspiring story for you that will give you a little hope. After a Nebraska woman suffered nine miscarrages her sister gave birth to twin girls for her!

The idea of surrogacy started off as a joke between the two sisters Lisa Auten and Melissa Kayser. But after Melissa suffered nine miscarriages and a failed in vitro fertilization attempt surrogacy seemed like the best option and there joke soon turned into a reality. Starting a family was something they always dreamed of. “I am so incredibly grateful for what Lisa did. She gave up a year of her life to help us become a family and that is something I could never repay. We have two beautiful little girls all because of my incredible sister.”

Lisa was so happy knowing she could help. She watched her sister go through loss after loss and finally she said enough is enough. Lisa says, “It was devastating to hear her talking about it, because she wanted to be a mom for as long as I can remember.” Nobody was sure if Lisa could actually carry because she doesn’t have any children of her own, but decided to go through with it and give it a try….and it was a success!
