We all know and love Spotify, the place where for just $5 a month you can download and listen to as much music as you would like.

But when is enough really enough with all these artists music selling for basically nothing?

Well, Taylor Swift put an end to that one! Spotify founder and Chief Executive Daniel Ek said Tuesday that despite Taylor Swift’s arguments to the contrary, his music streaming service doesn’t devalue music.

Ek says the world’s top subscription streaming-music service added 2.5 million paying members in fewer than six months and has returned a total of $2 billion to the music industry.

Taylor Swift pulled her music off Spotify last week, calling it an experiment that fails to fairly compensate musicians.
