Get Ready For An Action-Packed Weekend Of Sports
The onset of June means the NBA and NHL seasons only have a few weeks left. Hard to believe, isn’t it? Once you plop your heiner in the recliner, you may never want to move it again.
The Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors play Game 2 of their NBA Finals series on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. In the NHL, the Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues play Game 3 of their best-of-seven series on Saturday at 8 p.m. on NBCSN. The Blues’ 3-2 overtime win on Wednesday night was the franchise’s first ever in the Stanley Cup finals.
The threat of bad weather had the PGA Tour changing tee times for the final round Sunday of the Memorial and that will impact TV as well. Sunday’s round will begin at 7:30 a.m., but coverage will be a mix of live and tape. The Golf Channel will go live from 8:30 a.m. through 10:45 a.m., shifting then to taped coverage from 12 p.m. until 2:15. CBS then steps in with taped coverage from 2:30 p.m. until the conclusion.
The U.S. Women’s Open’s third round can be seen on Fox on Saturday from 2 p.m. until 7, with Sunday’s final round airing in the same place and at the same time.
Sunday’s NASCAR Pocono 400 begins at 2 p.m. on FS1. The track in Long Pond, Pa., is 2.5 miles and rewards speed.
It will seem like old times for baseball fans on Sunday night. The Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees at 7:05 p.m. on ESPN. The Yankees lead the American League East. Rick Porcello will pitch for the Sox, CC Sabathia for the Yankees.
