Every drop, every day!
We all know that water is essential for life. What we need to realize is that it’s also essential to continue the conversation about conserving water. As early as second grade we are taught not to leave the water running while we brush our teeth and other ways to be wise about using it. People use water so often that it can be difficult to remember that we do not have an unlimited amount of freshwater to drink and use.
Raising awareness is one of the first and most effective steps in creating real change. The Idaho Conservation League held a Water Sustainability Event to do just that. Raising awareness, and reminding people of those valuable second grade lessons, pushes both individuals and communities to take action and also spread the information and the incentive to others. The event gave people great indoor and outdoor tips when it comes to using all those gallons of water.
