Like many other major companies Lyft is officially getting into the driverless car scene. The car service app has announced plans to test automated Taxi’s on US roads in the near future.
Uber’s biggest rival will pair up with GM to road-test a fleet of autonomous Chevrolet Bolt electric taxis within a year. Lyft’s prototype app for the service is understood to include options that allow the passenger to order their robot chauffeur to tell them when they have reached their destination.
