As most of you have already heard, Facebook’s WhatsApp was temporarily shutdown in Brazil. The free messaging app is huge in the country holding almost 90 million users.
And you better believe that these 90 million users are giving traditional telecommunication companies in the region run for their money. With that being said, a judge ordered a 48-hour shutdown after WhatsApp was accused of not cooperating in a high profile investigation.
Even though the shutdown was lifted before the 48 hours, some were worried that that their may have been a problem on WhatsApp’s end where the company was trying to protect users data. For more details be sure to check out the video above.
