Getting Ready For An Action-Packed Weekend Of Sports
If you’ve not had the chance to see Giannis Antetokounmpo (don’t make me spell that again, you), grab the opportunity. The Milwaukee Bucks’ big man is one of the NBA’s best players and the Bucks may go deep in the playoffs.
They’ve been trouncing the Detroit Pistons so far in their first postseason series and the next beating is scheduled for Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. The Pistons are missing Blake Griffin, so this may not be a fair fight.
You’ve certainly seen James Harden play and score a lot of points. See him some more. The Houston Rockets, who hold a 2-0 lead in their series with the Utah Jazz, get back to work in Salt Lake City on Saturday night at 10:30 p.m. ESPN has this one as well.
In the NHL playoffs, the Calgary Flames can close out the Colorado Avalanche on Friday night at home. They lead the series 3-1; the possible clincher is on NBCSN at 10:30 p.m. Warm up for that with the Toronto Maple Leafs-Boston Bruins matchup at 7 p.m, also on NBCSN. The teams are tied 2-2.
Needing a bit of baseball? ESPN’s Sunday nighter matches the Atlanta Braves and Cleveland Indians at 7:05 p.m. Shane Bieber (2-0) will be pitching for Cleveland.
In the aftermath of the Masters, a number of top golfers are sitting out the RBC Heritage at Hilton Head, South Carolina. But Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau are in.
So it is a chance to plant your heiner in the recliner and see a mix of a few of today’s stars and those who may yet reach that level. Saturday’s third round and Sunday’s fourth round are on CBS, 3 p.m. each day.
