The Los Angeles Rams’ loss to the Dallas Cowboys made winners of others
The Cowboys (7-7) rolled to a 44-21 home victory over the Rams (8-6). While the victory kept the Boys even in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles, it locked up playoff berths for the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers (all 11-3).
The Niners lost to the comeback-minded Atlanta Falcons (5-9) at home, 29-22. The Falcons had a touchdown taken away by instant replay but quickly scored again on a pass from Matt Ryan to Julio Jones. The Seahawks and Packers won.
As did the Buffalo Bills (10-4). Their 17-10 road victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6) Sunday night nailed down their berth.
Of note:
The Oakland Raiders, who will move to Las Vegas next season, lost the last game at what we will still call the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum after building a 16-6 lead over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags (5-9) won 20-16, dropping the Raiders to 6-8.
On the other coast, Eli Manning may well have made his final start for the New York Giants. He threw a pair of touchdown passes (and three interceptions) as the Giants (3-11) snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 36-20 win over the Miami Dolphins (3-11).
The New England Patriots (11-3) earned their 11th straight trip to the playoffs with a 34-13 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals (1-12).

Navy beat Army 31-7 in the 120th meeting between the two.
Investigations are on-going into the televised flashing of white power symbols by several Cadets and at least one Midshipman.
