Gaming News From Sony

If there’s one thing you can always count on the game industry for, it’s chasing trends. After Nintendo has raked in the collectors profit with the NES Mini and SNES Mini, it stands to reason that other companies would want to snag a piece of the pie. And so, here comes Sony with their own throwback compilation console: the PlayStation Classic.

The PlayStation Classic will feature 20 games from the original PlayStation’s library pre-loaded and ready to play. While most of the list remains unconfirmed, Sony has officially revealed five games that will be included: Final Fantasy VII (of course), Tekken 3, Jumping Flash, Wild Arms, and Ridge Racer Type 4.

The console itself comes with an HDMI cable and a USB cable, as well as two wired PlayStation controllers (not DualShocks, though). The console will be releasing on December 3rd, 2018 in the US, Europe, and Japan, and will retail for $99.99. You can pre-order now at select retailers.
